Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between IT and business by assessing processes, determining requirements, and delivering data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders. You'll play a pivotal role in scoping projects, improving service delivery, and supporting strategic IT initiatives across a variety of client environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical and functional requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis, process modelling, and feasibility studies.
  • Develop documentation including business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
  • Assist project managers in planning and execution of IT implementation and renewal projects.
  • Liaise with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
  • Provide insights on IT systems, infrastructure, and service enhancements aligned with client goals.
  • Identify and recommend areas for process improvement and IT optimisation.
  • Support client engagements by presenting findings, preparing reports, and contributing to solution design workshops.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or IT Consultant role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service delivery, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and software lifecycle.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to create clear and actionable documentation.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge or certification in ITIL, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare, datacentre environments, or HPC solutions.
  • Experience in managed services or systems integration projects.
  • Exposure to Australian public or enterprise IT markets.
