Position: IT Systems Engineer (Canberra ACT)

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Technical Team Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting: Resolving technical problems encountered by users or customers
  • Guidance Provision: Assisting users with navigating software, hardware, or system-related issues
  • Installation and Configuration: Guiding users through setting up and configuring software, hardware, or system setups
  • Maintenance: Performing regular checks, updates, and upkeep to ensure optimal system or software performance
  • Troubleshooting Network Issues: Identifying and resolving network-related problems to ensure smooth operations
  • Implementing Network Hardware and Software: Installing, configuring, and maintaining networking equipment and software
  • Identifying recurring incident trends and providing insights to peers and the Operations Manager.
  • Effectively work and collaborate with other team members to resolve issues and for continuous improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have a current drivers license and a reliable vehicle, a minimum of 3 years of

experience in a similar support role and must be competent in the following technologies:

  • Active Directory
  • Exchange
  • MS Office Suite, MS Teams and Azure
  • Current Cisco CCNA and CCNP certification
  • Anti-Virus and Email Filtering
  • Windows Operating System
  • Experience with network and endpoint security (Antivirus/Anti-malware, Firewalls, VPN etc)
  • C class licence and reliable motor vehicle (Mixture of Onsite and remote work is required)

Preferred Qualifications:

While all candidates are evaluated on merit, possessing the following will be an advantage:

  • Experience in the management and support of network infrastructure
  • Familiarity with virtualisation tools such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery systems
  • Prior certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA/MCSE are a bonus
