Daifuku Oceania is a multi-national company with an exciting opportunity for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our dynamic team in Australia. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our people and culture initiatives across the region.

Job Summary

As a trusted advisor to our Australia team, you will develop close relationships across our business and the wider People and Culture Team, provide strategic and operational HR support, champion our organisational culture, and guide workplace mobility. You will play a key role in aligning our people strategies with business objectives, ensuring compliance with Australian workplace legislation and employment frameworks.

This People and Culture Business Partner position reports to the General Manager People and Culture based in New Zealand. This is an exciting and evolving role that contributes directly to the future development of our people and culture programmes, approaches and policies.

Daifuku Oceania business geographies include Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Japan.

About the Role

As a key member of our People & Culture team, you'll partner closely with leaders to support business strategy through effective people solutions.

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders across Australia, providing expert HR guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Workplace Legislation, Industry Awards, Pay Regulations, and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
  • Lead and support workplace mobility initiatives, including visa applications and international assignments.
  • Champion and embed a positive organisational culture aligned with Daifuku Oceania's values.
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture team to develop and implement people and culture programmes, policies, and frameworks.
  • Support change management, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives.

About You

You are a seasoned HR professional with a strong understanding of the Australian employment landscape. You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-national environment and are passionate about building inclusive, high-performing cultures.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a People & Culture or HR Business Partner role within Australia.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industry awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience managing workplace mobility and visa processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across geographies.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Pragmatic, hands on and can balance project work with day-to-day execution aligning their geography for long term sustainability and success.
  • Work as an effective member of the team to help achieve our people goals
  • Demonstrate initiative, provide suggestions and implement change
  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders to drive performance and engagement
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communication both with internal and external customers across a variety of levels and backgrounds.
