G&K Looney Plastering has been operating for over 40 years, undertaking both Residential and Commercial projects. Services provided range from general plastering, suspended ceiling systems, partitions and frames; to cladding and specialist linings such as acoustic, fire rating and radiation, decorative finishes and timbers. Tenders and contract packages range up to two million dollars and we have completed projects in healthcare, defense, education, and hospitality. We have a healthy pipeline of ongoing works and a strong client base.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role as ESTIMATOR, you will be a key player in our company's growth and success. You will work with the Operational Manager and Business Manager to generate new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships with clients. You will participate in the ongoing organisation, management and periodic review of projects.

ABOUT YOU

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to identify and generate new business opportunities to secure ongoing projects

  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and installation guidelines

  • Liase with architects, builders, project managers and clients

  • Visit sites or attend site meetings remotely

  • Maintain and develop Price Lists, negotiate with suppliers

  • Generate estimations and submit quotes and tenders

  • Negotiate pricing and scope of works

  • Generate take offs, quantities, project budgets and other reports such a budgeted vs actual costs

  • Participate in the estimation & management of variations

  • Ability to secure sales targets

  • Participate in periodic review and analysis of project performance

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Estimation using estimation/take off software (such as Cubit), MS Office programs (word, excel, outlook)

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time management ability

  • Self-motivated with result-driven approach

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with Cubit or similar

  • Experience with simPRO or similar

  • Previous experience in Wall and Ceiling Industry or similar
