We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pontoon Builder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing pontoon structures with precision and safety. This role requires expertise in accurately measuring and cutting materials, proficient use of power tools, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately measure and cut materials (e.g., timber, metal, or composites) to precise specifications for pontoon construction.
- Operate power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, and other equipment, to assemble pontoon components.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to construct pontoons.
- Perform quality checks to ensure structural integrity and compliance with design requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Assist in the installation of pontoons at various worksites, as required.
- Proven experience in accurately measuring and cutting materials to precise specifications.
- Proficiency in using a variety of power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong safety awareness, with knowledge of workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Current driver's license (mandatory).
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting and working in outdoor environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid boat license, enabling operation of watercraft for pontoon installation.
- Experience in welding, particularly for metal pontoon components.
- Knowledge of concreting techniques, useful for pontoon construction tasks.
- Willingness to travel to worksites as needed.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project requirements.
