Peninsula Curtains & Blinds is a proud, family-owned business that has been transforming homes on the Mornington Peninsula for over 45 years. As a local market leader in custom window furnishings, we are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Curtain Maker / Sewist to join our talented production team. Experienced industrial sewing but not directly curtain please apply as we can provide training.

About the Role

Based in our Mornington workroom, this role focuses on the production of custom curtains and soft furnishings.

Key tasks include:

• Sewing curtains, sheers, and other soft furnishings
• Measuring and cutting fabrics to specifications
• Operating industrial sewing machinery
• Reading and following detailed workroom instructions
• Completing quality control checks
• Maintaining a clean, organised work area

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience in curtain making and sewing (preferred Not essential)

Ability to operate sewing machinery confidently (essential)

Excellent attention to detail and ability to measure accurately

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solving abilities

Ability to prioritise, work to targets, and meet deadlines

Physically fit and in good health

Reliable transportation to our Mornington workroom

Experience in cutting, measuring, and custom curtain production is an advantage.
