Brunswick East, Victoria, Australia SPACE PARADE Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Want to be part of a tight-knit, creative team that's pushing the boundaries of interior design? We're on the lookout for an Interior Architect to help bring our visions to life at our studio in Brunswick.

At Space Parade, we believe in the power of experiential spaces — where storytelling, creativity, and sustainability come together to create memorable, immersive environments. If you're passionate about design, storytelling, and creating spaces that people fall in love with, we want to hear from you.

About the role

As our Interior Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our interior design projects — from early concept modelling to client-ready presentations. You'll take ownership of the space, including detailed furniture and fixture models, ensuring accuracy and creativity at every stage. This is currently a contract position with an immediate start, working on projects in hospitality, entertainment, and beyond. You'll work closely with a small, collaborative team of designers who are all about creating fun, dynamic spaces that reflect personality and energy.

Responsibilities

  • Model entire interior spaces — including furniture, joinery, and fixtures — at varying levels of detail and intricacy, contributing to both conceptual and detailed design stages.
  • Translate sketches, concepts, and briefs into compelling 3D assets for presentations and documentation.
  • Develop detailed rendered outputs and visuals (D5 or similar) that clearly communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure models balance creativity with buildability, sustainability, and technical accuracy.
  • Lead by example in maintaining quality standards across documentation and presentation material.
  • Contribute to the refinement of internal processes and workflows to improve efficiency and output.
  • Manage your own time effectively, meeting deadlines and proactively flagging risks or challenges.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficiency in Rhino 3D (essential).
  • Strong rendering skills in D5
  • Working knowledge of Revit, CAD, or documentation software (desirable).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Corel (a plus).
  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in an interior design, architecture, or product design environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to model with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and construction detailing.
  • A keen design eye — able to balance aesthetics with function and technical constraints.
  • Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Portfolio Requirement

We want to see your work.

Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. Please include:

  • At least one example of a full interior project or space you've modelled — showing furniture, joinery, and fixtures working together in context.
  • Rendered presentation work that shows your ability to communicate ideas visually.
  • Documentation examples that demonstrate technical accuracy and buildability.
