About the role
The full-time Test Analyst role at DataBench is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative technology company in Milton, Queensland. As our Test Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality and reliable capabilities with DataBench's cutting-edge products and services.
What you'll be doing
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate system functionality, performance, and compliance with business needs.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, and working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in test planning sessions, status meetings, and retrospectives to provide testing insights and progress updates.
- Support regression and AB testing and continuous integration efforts to ensure system stability and quality during development cycles.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defects to support audit and compliance requirements.
- Manage and maintain the release planning framework.
- Automating repetitive testing tasks to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure testing aligns with business objectives.
- Continuously improving testing processes and procedures to enhance the overall quality of DataBench's products.
- Working with agile software development practices and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What we're looking for & Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Proven experience and or 12 months post-grad as a Test Analyst or Software Tester, with a background in the Information & Communication Technology industry.
- Mandatory to have a proven understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing tools and techniques, including experience with test frameworks, particularly Zephyr or equivalent.
- Experience using ticket management, test planning or similar test management tools for test case management, execution, and defect tracking.
- Good knowledge of agile and software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC) processes.
- Proficiency in writing clear and comprehensive test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements and processes into effective test cases and automation scripts.
- Experience with test automation frameworks is preferred for this role.
