Contractor Recruitment and Relations Manager
2 weeks ago
Stag Electrical is expanding nationally, and we are looking for someone who can build, grow and maintain a high performing contractor network across Australia.
This role is focused on people. The priority is finding quality solar and electrical contractors, bringing them into our network, and developing strong working relationships over time. You will not be managing staff. You will be managing the contractor capacity that supports our national rollout.
If you are proactive, organised and confident approaching trades businesses, this role offers the chance to play a key part in our growth.
You must be prepared to travel interstate as required to meet contractors, build relationships and support regional expansion.
What You Will Be Doing
Contractor Recruitment
Identify, contact and recruit new solar, electrical, battery and general trades contractors.
Map service regions and fill contractor gaps across NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA and WA.
Promote Stag as a preferred installation partner.
Lead the onboarding process including capability, service areas and rates.
Build long term relationships with contractors.
Understand their workload, strengths and preferred job types.
Keep contractors engaged, active and loyal to Stag.
Act as the primary point of contact for contractor communications.
Attend meetings, site visits or contractor introductions interstate when required.
Maintain current contractor availability lists.
Ensure each region has the capacity needed to support incoming work.
Match upcoming installs with suitable contractors based on capability and timing.
Identify future capacity issues early and recruit ahead of demand.
Negotiate competitive and fair installation rates.
Support contractor retention and satisfaction.
Help shape a national contractor network that scales effectively with our growth.
Bonus Structure
This role includes a performance bonus paid in addition to base salary.
Bonuses are based on quality installations delivered rather than volume.
Performance measures include:
Reliable delivery
Quality workmanship
Consistent contractor performance
Retention of long term contractor relationships
Our focus is sustainable growth supported by dependable contractors.
What We Are Looking For
Experience working with subcontractors, trades or field service providers.
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
Confidence making outbound calls, negotiating rates and engaging contractors.
Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple moving parts.
A proactive operator who takes ownership and builds structure.
Experience in solar, electrical, HVAC, telco or construction is beneficial but not required.
Comfortable travelling interstate when needed to support contractor engagement.
You may currently be working in contractor management, vendor coordination, service delivery, operations coordination, trades recruitment, project coordination or field service support roles.
Why Join Stag Electrical
We are an established NSW and ACT business entering a national expansion phase.
You will own a function that directly impacts our ability to grow.
You will have leadership support, autonomy and a clear direction.
You will have opportunities for career progression as our contractor network grows.
You will be working in a fast paced environment where your work has real impact.
Cover Letter Requirement
Please include a short cover letter explaining the strategy you would use to find, recruit and build relationships with solar and electrical contractors across Australia.
We are specifically interested in how you would:
Identify new contractors in each state
Approach and engage them
Assess their suitability
Convert them into ongoing partners
Maintain long term loyalty and availability
