About The Role
Reporting to the Program Director, this role sits within a Program Leadership Team and leads collaboratively with the broader program, external stakeholders, and AEMO capability areas to ensure the program is delivered in compliance with all obligations. Responsibilities include overseeing, directing, and refining program processes and procedures; providing guidance on robust reporting requirements (including quarterly compliance reports); benefits realisation mapping and reporting; and ensuring deliverables align with external regulatory and contractual standards. The role liaises with Government representatives and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment with obligations, reporting protocols, and monitoring milestones. It also plays a critical role in risk management, internal audit preparedness, and fostering a culture of compliance across all departments involved in the program.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Embed and consistently apply governance processes, reporting, and assurance aligned to grant and compliance requirements
  • Interpret and apply requirements of government contracts, grants, or funding agreements. Monitor contractual obligations, milestones, and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Identify priorities, manage risks, and keep the integrated plan, delivery model, and benefits framework aligned to objectives.
  • Develop and implement internal compliance controls aligned with external agreement requirements. Lead and deliver key reporting activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with departments (e.g., Legal, Finance, Program Delivery, Records Management) to ensure procedures support compliance.
  • Serve as a point of contact on government agreement terms and compliance implications

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Extensive experience (10 years preferred) working in large programs for complex and highly regulated environments
  • Practical application of compliance and project frameworks in corporate and/or government information systems and networks
  • Strong experience and proven ability to adhere to and ensure compliance activities in large projects, including meeting audit requirements and discovery requests made on the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to confidently communicate and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-resolution skills

Due to the requirements of this role, you must be an Australian citizen and be willing and able to obtain and maintain and level of security clearance issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
