Car Washer/Concierge

About the business

Audi Sutherland is owned by Autosports Group - Australia's largest prestige and luxury automotive retail group employing approximately 2000 people across 75+ dealerships nationally. This particular dealership is now seeking an experienced vehicle car washer/ concierge.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated, professional and proactive individual to join the team.

Main Duties:

• Clean customer vehicles internally and externally
• Washing and fueling service loan cars
• Assist with customer drop off and collection - valet service
• Sign customers in loan vehicles
• Inspect loan cars regularly and report to the Department Manager on any damage or defects noted
• Deliver and recover cars to and from sublet contractors as necessary
• Serve customers by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately
• Engage in conversation with clients to fully understand their needs and manage expectations
• Refuel cars as required
• Maintain the wash bay and detailing area in a clean and orderly way to maximise productivity and minimise health and safety risks
• Ensure all chemicals are stored and managed responsible
• Perform other tasks/duties requested/assigned by supervisors, department managers or directors from time to time, provided that these requests are reasonable and within the capabilities of the employee
• Maintain the area around the dealership of any litter

Skills and experience

• A basic knowledge of motor vehicles and maintenance procedures
• A basic knowledge of techniques of paint and fabric preparation and maintenance
• A high attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Confidence to report concerns or questions to managers as appropriate
• Ability to multi skill and prioritise duties
• A current full driver's licence
• Experience in a similar position in automotive industry (desirable)
• Understanding of the typical business structures of the retail automotive industry an advantage
• An honest and professional nature
