ABOUT THE ROLE

Mainfreight Prestons is looking for a full-time kitchenhand/cook to work in a busy team kitchen. No night or weekend work is required with the kitchen closed on public holidays. We are looking for a passionate person who shows initiative, enthusiasm, enjoys food and working within a great team to join us.  Like a family we eat together at mealtimes with the canteen delivering in-house, well-balanced home cooked meals for every meal of the day. We are looking for someone who thrives on putting a smile on people's faces and building relationships when serving team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO

  • Qualified Cook
  • Food preparation
  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner service
  • Functions and catering
  • Ensure the kitchen & food storage areas are maintained to our high cleanliness standard

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, THE APPLICANT WILL NEED TO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

  • A passion for creating healthy & well-balanced meals
  • Experience with preparing and plating up meals
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be resourceful and flexible
  • The ability to make people happy from your fun and friendly personality and great food
