Montessori Prep

The Athena School is a small, vibrant school in Newtown where we believe in fostering a lifelong love of learning, creating safe and engaging classrooms, and helping students achieve above-level outcomes.

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Montessori-trained Prep Teacher to lead our Montessori Program for the Kindy minus 1 class. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a supportive community that values small classes, individualised education, and professional growth.

Your Role:

• Deliver and run the Montessori program for the Prep class.
• Plan, prepare and implement activities tailored to each child.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inspiring learning environment.
• Document student learning (lesson plans, IEPs, scope & sequence).
• Observe and report progress to parents and the Principal.
• Attend school meetings, excursions, and professional development.

About You:

• Montessori training (essential).
• Early Childhood teaching qualifications.
• NESA accredited
• Current Working With Children Check & Child Protection training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for supporting children from diverse backgrounds.
• Flexibility
