In this role, you'll play a key part in deploying and maintaining advanced camp network, security, communications, and entertainment systems across remote and regional Australia.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair structured cabling systems for data, voice, CCTV, and entertainment services in line with ACMA and industry standards.
- Lay, join, terminate, and test copper and fibre-optic cables, ensuring correct connections and optimal signal performance.
- Install network hardware and enclosures, including patch panels, racks, outlets, and network devices.
- Diagnose and rectify system faults, applying efficient and compliant solutions.
- Assist in configuring, testing, and commissioning telecommunications and network infrastructure.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams to deliver accurate cabling layouts.
- Perform cable testing and labelling, ensuring compliance with TCA1 and TCA2 documentation.
- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces, maintaining compliance with WHS and electrical safety regulations.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers to meet deadlines for project delivery.
- Maintain accurate testing, commissioning, and asset documentation.
About You
- Minimum 2+ years' experience as a Telecommunications Cabler or equivalent, ideally in remote or project-based environments.
- Hold a current Open Cabler Licence (ACMA).
- Hold a White Card and Class C Driver's Licence.
- Hold Work at Heights and EWP tickets (preferred).
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proven experience with data, coaxial, and fibre installations on medium to large-scale projects.
- Confident in rack wiring and hardware setup (switches, VES systems, power distribution).
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on safe and compliant work practices.
- Able to work efficiently under various weather conditions and adapt to demanding site environments.
- A proactive team player with good communication and a customer-focused attitude.
- Willing to travel to remote locations across Australia.
Highly Regarded
- Working knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies (Ruckus, Cisco, Meraki).
- Experience with Cel-Fi / Nextivity / RFI systems.
- Experience delivering CCTV, access control, or satellite systems.
- Experience in configuring network switches and access points.
- Hold Test and Tag ticket.
- Qualification in Telecommunications Technology or related field.
- Experience with GPON / optical fibre networks.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
