Role Overview:
The 3rd or 4th-Year Carpenter Apprentice will assist in framing, fix-outs, decking, cladding, renovations, and finishing carpentry tasks, while also gaining exposure to project coordination, client interaction, and site leadership skills.
This role is ideal for someone in their final stage of apprenticeship, eager to refine their skills, learn business systems, and take ownership of tasks under the guidance of our qualified carpenters and site supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with timber framing, cladding, decking, and general carpentry works on residential renovation and building sites
- Carry out fit-off and finishing works to a high standard
- Interpret plans, measurements, and construction drawings accurately
- Support site preparation, clean-up, and safety compliance
- Work closely with trades and apprentices to ensure smooth workflow
- Follow Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and workplace safety procedures
- Use tools, materials, and machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist in maintaining site documentation, deliveries, and material orders
- Represent the company professionally with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Skills & Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th-Year Carpentry Apprentice (Certificate III in Carpentry)
- Previous experience in framing, fix-outs, and general carpentry
- White Card and own basic tools required
- Reliable transport and current driver's licence essential
- Understanding of WHS compliance and construction standards
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn advanced skills
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team
