This is a national leadership role overseeing End User Compute (EUC) and Field Services for one of Australia's most respected health and community organisations. You'll shape how 30,000+ employees experience technology across hospitals, aged care, and research environments, ensuring secure, modern, and reliable tools that enable exceptional frontline care.

The Opportunity

As Head of EUC and Field Services, you'll take ownership of strategy, operations, and performance across desktop, mobile, and on-site technical services.

Leading a high-performing, multi-state team, you'll manage everything from Windows and Mac environments to mobile and virtual desktops, as well as on-site infrastructure supporting critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national EUC and Field Services teams delivering secure, reliable, and modern technology.
  • Develop and execute the EUC strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Oversee 13,000 endpoints, 4,000 mobile devices, and 30,000 users across a 24/7 environment.
  • Drive innovation through Intune, MECM, Autopilot, VDI, and AI-assisted support tools.
  • Manage budgets, vendors, SLAs, and on-site engineering operations.
  • Act as a key incident lead, ensuring continuity in mission-critical systems.
  • Embed ITIL-aligned governance, process improvement, and service performance metrics.

About You

  • Senior position experience in EUC / Desktop / IT Operations leadership.
  • Proven success managing large, multi-site technical teams.
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies (AD, Intune, MECM, O365, Windows).
  • Strong grounding in endpoint security, patching, packaging, and lifecycle management.
  • Confident managing high-severity incidents and communicating with executive stakeholders.
  • ITIL v4 certification essential; Microsoft or postgraduate qualifications desirable.
  • Healthcare or other 24/7 essential services experience advantageous.
