Horizontal Borer Operator

RCR Mining Technologies are seeking experienced Horizontal Borer Operator / Machinist to join our Team on a fulltime basis working on Day or Afternoon Shift, located in our Bunbury Workshop.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Horizontal Borer Operator / Machinist at RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT), a leading business unit within NRW Holdings. This position requires excellent manual machining skills and a deep understanding of machining processes. The Horizontal Borer Operator / Machinist must consistently provide high-quality machining services to support the manufacturing and production of mining technologies. With your expertise, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of machined components, contributing to the overall success of the team and the delivery of top-notch products.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Operating our new manual Borer (brand new machine and tooling)
• Review drawings, instructions, or samples to ensure accurate production
• Take precise measurements for cutting or inspection
• Complete inspection reports and first off checks
• Monitor production, adjusting cutting conditions and other settings as necessary to maximise efficiency
• Oversee, guide, and assist apprentices and trades assistants
• Perform any additional tasks as directed which are within your skill, qualification, and competence level.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:

• Live locally in the Southwest
• Ability to review drawings, instructions, or samples to ensure accurate production.
• Australian recognised Trade Certificate – Machining.
• Current Driver's Licence
• Dogging/Rigging (desirable)
• Forklift Ticket
• Fitness to handle manual labour and provide a clear drug and alcohol screening
• A solid commitment to safety, along with a genuine reliable nature.
