Kitchen Hand

The Coffee Emporium Warrawong is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
• Perform various cleaning duties, such as washing dishes, pots, and utensils, and maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen environment.
• Operate the dishwasher and ensure all kitchen linen is cleaned and stored.
• Maintain impeccable food hygiene and safety practices.
• Receive, check, and store stock and supplies.
• Assist with general kitchen tasks as needed by the chefs and cooks.
• Handle waste disposal and keep bins clean.
• Maintain floors, work stations, and equipment.

Skills:

• A willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good knife skills (an advantage).
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen procedures is beneficial but not always required, as training will be provided.
• A positive attitude and a passion for food and the hospitality industry.
