Roster: Monday – Friday
Fortescue is transforming its business using AI and data to automate, optimise, and decarbonise operations across mining and energy. The Data and AI Platform team builds and maintains the technical foundations that enable scalable, secure, and high-impact AI delivery.
The AI Platform team is responsible for architecting and engineering reusable AI components, orchestration frameworks, and cloud-based infrastructure that support data scientists, engineers, and digital product teams across the business. Our work enables consistent, trusted, and efficient development of GenAI agents, MLOps workflows, and enterprise-grade AI applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead agile delivery governance and team facilitation, fostering servant leadership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.Align program and portfolio delivery to enterprise AI strategy through roadmap planning, capacity management, and dependency coordination.Drive platform innovation and experimentation, running workshops to identify needs and prototype solutions that accelerate AI adoption.Enhance business analysis and backlog management, supporting Product Owners to capture clear, value-driven requirements and prioritise effectively.Engage stakeholders and track delivery performance, providing transparent metrics, data-driven updates, and shaping change plans to maximise impact. Qualifications and Experience
Extensive agile leadership experience including programme/portfolio scale delivery and coaching BAs/Scrum Masters.Strong technical proficiency in Jira/ADO, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), data science workflows, MLOps, and modern AI frameworks and services.Proven track record of improving delivery outcomes (e.g., NPS/CSAT, cycle time) through evidence-based interventions and lean/startup techniques.Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience advising senior leaders (GMs or C-suite).Domain knowledge of mining, resources, or heavy industry tech stacks and familiarity with architecture tools/frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Archi).Familiarity with contemporary and traditional AI frameworks, Azure, OpenAI and Bedrock services.
