Join Our Team as a Senior Tax Accountant

Our company consists of advisory, tax, and business accounting teams who together make it the perfect option in terms of expertise, dynamic thinking, and strategic solutions. We aim to offer customised solutions for tax and accounting matters and strive to be a one-stop shop for small business support, tax accounting, tax planning, and business advice.

The individual we are looking for needs to be someone proactive with the ability to manage competing work priorities and meet company deadlines. They will also need to understand the importance of using initiative and drive to continuously strive for best outcomes and solutions.

Job Description:

Perform tax and accounting-related functions across the business, including but not limited to:

  • Preparation of income tax returns, BASs, IASs, and financial statements
  • Handling CGT, FBT, Division 7A, and other tax compliance matters
  • Assisting with SMSF financials and tax returns
  • Review of junior staff work and mentoring (Senior role)
  • Managing client relationships and proactively offering business solutions
  • Performing bookkeeping, payroll, superannuation, and WorkCover processing
  • Applying knowledge of relevant taxation legislation to ensure compliance
  • Engaging in general accounting, taxation, and business advisory services

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (essential)
  • IPA / CA / CPA qualified, or currently studying
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in public practice taxation
  • Strong skills in interpreting and applying tax compliance regulations
  • Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and BGL 360
  • Excellent technical and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a dynamic environment
