Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with a variety of clients across different industries, providing accurate and timely bookkeeping services. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping businesses stay financially organised. The Senior Bookkeeper will also work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

The role is based in our Melbourne office, with some flexibility for remote work available for the right candidate. We're happy to discuss hybrid arrangements that suit both the team and your work life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end bookkeeping for multiple clients in various industries
  • Bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
  • Payroll processing for Clients and STP compliance
  • Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the finance team

Qualifications:

  • Cert IV in Bookkeeping or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero and MYOB
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
