About Us

BGC's Quarries, based at The Lakes along The Great Southern Highway, produce more than 1,500,000 tonnes of crushed aggregate a year, and supply the raw material for the required concrete, roof tiles, block paving products, road construction projects, civil engineering and large commercial projects.

The Opportunity

Due to growth our team are seeking entry level Dump Truck Operators to join the BGC Quarries team located at The Lakes. 

These roles are Monday to Friday with regular Saturday and overtime work available.

Your role will include:

  • Operating Dump Truck in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring work is carried out to quality and specification requirements
  • Operating two-way radio to maintain contact with Supervisor and other equipment
  • Completing and recording daily pre-start inspections and risk assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, quality control procedures and Quality Management System
  • Maintaining and promoting a clean work environment

What we'll love about you

  • Previous experience operating a Dump Truck or similar mobile plant equipment highly regarded however not essential
  • A clear understanding of health and safety requirements and hazard identification
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic within a team environment
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Mechanical aptitude for machine setting, troubleshooting and ability to use hand tools
  • A current driver's licence
