A03 Payroll Officer

• 36.25 hours per week

As part of this well-known organisation, you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate payroll services across Queensland locations. This includes processing and validating end-to-end payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and policies, while providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders. You'll work within a collaborative team environment, supporting high-volume payroll operations and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your new role

• Process and validate payroll transactions in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant awards and agreements.
• Respond to payroll-related queries from internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform business support duties such as data entry, spreadsheeting, and word processing.
• Collaborate within a team environment to meet deadlines and service delivery standards.
• Identify and escalate issues or discrepancies to ensure resolution.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer service.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of HR and payroll legislation and processes.
