Our Finance Department has an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant join us, working at our Subiaco Corporate Office on an initial 12-month-contract.

Reporting to the Finance Manager - Operations, this role is responsible for preparing, reporting & analysing management accounts for one of our operations, as well as assisting senior business managers with financial decision making.

Here is what awaits you.

• Manage site month end process. Including maintaining cost allocation workbooks, preparation of monthly journals, maintaining the fixed asset register and GL reconciliations.
• Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial and management reporting and analysis to support multiple business units.
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts and life of mine plans. Ensuring accurate inputs and analysis of results as required.
• Assisting with the Anaplan budgeting tool implementation and ongoing adoption; including working closely with both site staff and the planning team to help ensure a smooth roll out.
• Facilitate monthly cost reviews with respective department Managers.
• Working closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight critical to decision-making, including opportunities for cost and other operational efficiencies.
• Assisting with audits over half and full year reporting periods.
• Identifying improvements and streamlining opportunities in systems, processes and controls, and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as monthly site visits – minimum 4 days per month.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent, along with CA or CPA accreditation.
• Significant experience in a similar role, with at least one year post CA / CPA qualification experience, ideally within the Mining or Resources Industry.
• A background in auditing would be highly regarded.
• Excellent communication & people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, as well as engage, influence & build strong, functional relationships across your remit.
• Possess a strong level of computer literacy across the MS Office Suite, with experience using Pronto, as well as Anaplan or a planning system/software would be highly regarded.
