The requirements | What it takes to do this work

No matter your role, it takes a real love of caring, a willingness to jump in and do the work, and a genuine desire to make a difference. As a carer, you'll also need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or Cert IV Leisure and Health
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current NSW class C driver's license with the willingness to drive a 12-seater van
  • An empathy for older people and commitment to meeting their needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
