We are seeking a dedicated and engaging HASS Teacher to join our College. This is a full time, ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2026.
About the role: Reporting to the Head of Learning Area – HASS, you will be a dynamic and committed HASS Teacher. You will have the ability to teach year 11 and 12 ATAR-level courses and engage students across Years 7–10 with innovative, differentiated, and curriculum-aligned learning experiences. You will be able contribute to a collaborative team environment and demonstrate a passion for fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and student wellbeing.
Responsibilities as a HASS Teacher:
- Demonstrated ability to teach HASS across Years 7–12.
- Proven experience in delivering Year 11 and 12 ATAR courses effectively.
- Ability to teach Business Management and Enterprise and/or Politics and Legal Studies, would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead a Pastoral Care Group (PCG) with a focus on student wellbeing and engagement.
- Flexibility and adaptability in implementing differentiated teaching strategies to meet student needs.
- Commitment to innovative and evidence-based teaching methodologies, with a strong awareness of current pedagogical trends.
- Willingness to collaborate in the design and development of teaching and learning programs across multiple year levels, and to lead subject-based teaching teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive, respectful, and inclusive relationships with students, parents, and staff across the College community.
What we are seeking:
- A passionate and experienced HASS teacher with the ability to teach ATAR-level courses.
- A strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, particularly in HASS, with demonstrated skills in assessment and reporting.
- Proven ability to design and deliver differentiated, engaging, and academically rigorous learning programs.
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to integrating new technologies and innovative teaching practices.
- A collaborative and team-oriented educator, willing to contribute to the broader life of the College through co-curricular activities, competitions, and academic initiatives.
- The capacity to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced educational setting.
- An appreciation for and commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College.
