This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of clean, reliable, and affordable LNG to remote communities and mining operations across Western Australia. As the primary point of contact for customers and suppliers within a high-profile joint venture, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless commercial operations, effective logistics management, and robust contract administration
You will thrive in a collaborative environment that values respect, integrity, and teamwork, while enjoying flexible working opportunities and exposure to innovative energy projects. If you are looking to make a meaningful impact in the energy sector while developing your professional skills within a supportive and knowledgeable team, this role offers the perfect platform.
* Be at the heart of a major joint venture delivering sustainable energy solutions to remote regions and mining clients across Western Australia, where your work directly supports community growth and industry progress.
* Enjoy a varied role that combines commercial administration, logistics coordination, supplier relationship management, and regulatory compliance-offering you broad exposure to key business functions within the energy sector.
* Join a workplace that champions flexibility, inclusivity, and ongoing development, where your contributions are valued and your career can flourish alongside experienced professionals committed to shared success.
What you'll do:
As a Commercial and Logistics Advisor based in Perth, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of remote energy delivery through active involvement in every stage of commercial operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you acting as the central point of contact for both customers and suppliers within a significant joint venture framework. You will coordinate order processing from inception through scheduling to final delivery while ensuring all activities align with contractual requirements. By collaborating with various internal teams-including operations and procurement-you will help drive accurate invoicing cycles, manage supplier relationships effectively, prepare detailed reports for leadership review, organise key stakeholder meetings, raise purchase orders via Oracle systems, assist with payment approvals, oversee logistics contracts administration, support regulatory compliance efforts related to licences or permits, and contribute meaningfully to policy adherence. Success in this role hinges on your ability to balance multiple priorities efficiently while fostering positive relationships across diverse teams-all within an environment that values ethical conduct, attention to detail, discretion when handling sensitive information, and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Serve as the main liaison for joint venture customers and suppliers, coordinating all aspects of customer ordering and scheduling processes in strict alignment with contractual obligations.
* Review daily, weekly, and monthly logistics schedules to ensure timely delivery of operator commitments under the joint venture agreement.
* Collaborate closely with operational and procurement teams to facilitate accurate monthly invoicing, verification processes, and prompt reconciliation of supplier invoices.
* Prepare comprehensive daily and monthly reports for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of performance metrics and operational updates.
* Organise and facilitate management committee meetings for the joint venture by preparing agendas, distributing materials, recording minutes, and following up on action items.
* Raise purchase orders using Oracle systems while assisting with payment approvals to maintain efficient financial workflows.
* Support the management of logistics contracts by monitoring compliance with terms, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting with renewals or amendments as required.
* Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance by supporting licence management activities and ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
* Work proactively with cross-functional teams-including operations-to deliver against customer requirements while upholding company values such as safety, respect, integrity, innovation, performance, and teamwork.
* Contribute positively to the company's culture by supporting employment policies as directed by managers or supervisors and participating in additional duties as assigned.
What you bring:
To excel as a Commercial and Logistics Advisor in this setting, you will bring substantial experience gained from roles involving contract management or logistics coordination-preferably within the energy sector or similarly regulated environments. Your background should reflect not only technical competence but also an empathetic approach towards relationship-building both internally among colleagues and externally with suppliers or customers. You are adept at navigating complex administrative processes while remaining attentive to detail even under pressure. Your interpersonal skills foster cooperation across departments; your communication style is considerate yet effective; your analytical mindset allows you to identify trends or issues before they escalate; your organisational strengths ensure nothing falls through the cracks; your discretion guarantees confidentiality when handling sensitive matters; your adaptability means you can respond positively to changing priorities; finally-your commitment aligns seamlessly with core values such as respectfulness towards others' contributions alongside unwavering integrity.
* Demonstrated experience managing supplier contracts and nurturing commercial relationships within complex organisational structures.
* Proven background in logistics-ideally including hands-on management of transportation contracts or similar supply chain functions.
* Solid track record administering joint ventures or multi-party agreements within regulated industries such as energy or resources.
* Comprehensive understanding of contract administration principles coupled with practical experience overseeing end-to-end contract lifecycles.
* Exceptional relationship management skills that enable you to build trust with both internal colleagues and external partners alike.
* Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting purposes; familiarity with Oracle procurement systems is highly desirable.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities that allow you to convey information clearly across all levels of an organisation.
* Strong logical reasoning combined with analytical thinking skills-enabling you to interpret data accurately while making sound recommendations.
* Excellent time management capabilities supported by meticulous organisational habits; able to juggle competing deadlines without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
* Approachable demeanour paired with proven ability to work collaboratively within teams-demonstrating empathy towards others' perspectives while contributing constructively.
