We're looking for an experienced and driven Finance Officer to oversee key financial operations. This position suits a detail-focused professional with strong technical accounting expertise and a commitment to continuous improvement.
In this role, you'll manage financial reporting, payroll, compliance, and risk governance, while providing valuable support to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly financial reports, payroll, and statutory returns (BAS, PAYG, payroll tax);
· Maintain and reconcile general ledger and fixed assets
· Support budgeting, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation;
· Enhance financial systems and processes for improved efficiency;
· Contribute to risk management and internal audit activities;
· Liaise with external accountants for annual reporting
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.
About the Successful Candidate
· Demonstrates intermediate/advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Comprehensive understanding of Xero accounting software.
· Must demonstrate advanced level proficiency in Xero accounting software with comprehensive understanding of all features.
· Possesses a comprehensive understanding of accounting standards.
· Exhibits excellent analytical skills and the ability to formulate and present detailed reports.
· Minimum of 5+ years of accounting and finance experience required.
