About You

  • Trade-qualified (or equivalent) in pastry arts / baking with at least 2 years' experience in a busy bakery, patisserie or cafe specialising in pastries/desserts
  • Strong technical pastry skills: tempering chocolate, lamination experience a must, tarts, cakes, decorative finishing, etc.
  • Excellent time management—able to plan prep work, manage production schedules and meet service demands
  • Committed to food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and consistency in product quality
  • Creative mindset: able to develop new pastry/dessert items, seasonal specials, plating / presentation ideas
  • Reliable and proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Available at least one weekend shift per week; flexibility is a plus
  • Experience with stock and order management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods to the highest standard each service
  • Manage pastry station prep and organisation, ensuring efficiency during busy periods
  • Assist with recipe development, portion control and costing
  • Ensure all hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are met and maintained
  • Monitor inventory / ordering for pastry supplies & ingredients in conjunction with kitchen management
  • Maintain consistency in product quality, appearance and presentation
