As part of Epiroc's Epic Women Diversity and Inclusion Program, we invite final-year industrial engineering students to participate in a hands-on internship project focused on designing, improving, and optimising integrated systems within commercial and industrial environments. This project aims to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness by analysing existing processes and implementing targeted improvements.

Project Scope:

You will work alongside our engineering team to assess current workflows that involve people, materials, information, equipment, and energy across our mining and manufacturing operations. Through data collection and process mapping, you will identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Your recommendations will focus on practical solutions to streamline operations, reduce waste, improve safety, and elevate product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyse current operational processes using industrial engineering principles.

· Identify opportunities to optimise workflows and resource utilisation.

· Design and propose system improvements to boost efficiency.

· Implement selected solutions and monitor their impact on safety, quality, and output.

· Prepare and deliver a final presentation of your findings and outcomes to senior management.

Desired Skills and Attributes:

· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial Engineering).

· Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.

· Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Macros, Scripting, Dashboards, and/or Databases is advantageous.
