We are seeking an experienced family lawyer specialising in child support to support our AI development team on a contract or casual basis. In this role, you will contribute to the creation of a child support chatbot, ensuring it delivers accurate, reliable, and user-friendly guidance. You will collaborate with our AI specialists to review and refine content, drawing on your legal expertise to enhance the tool's effectiveness and compliance with Australian family law standards.
This position offers flexibility, with the potential for a future partnership as we expand our AI-driven educational and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities- Review and influence the development of appropriate questions for the child support chatbot, ensuring they address common user queries in a clear, empathetic, and legally sound manner.
- Evaluate chatbot responses for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to current child support legislation, guidelines, and best practices.
- Provide expert guidance to the AI team on improving responses, including suggestions for refinements, alternative phrasings, and incorporation of real-world scenarios to enhance user understanding.
- Collaborate on iterative improvements to the chatbot, offering insights into child support processes, calculations, enforcement, and related family law matters.
- Ensure all content aligns with ethical standards, privacy requirements, and promotes fair outcomes for families.
We are seeking a qualified family lawyer who is enthusiastic about intersecting law with technology. The ideal candidate must:
- Be a practising or recently lawyer ideally with a specialisation in child support, including knowledge of the Child Support Scheme under the Australian Government's framework.
- Have a strong understanding of child support assessments, payments, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail to ensure legal accuracy in AI-generated content.
- Possess excellent communication skills to articulate complex legal concepts simply and accessibly for non-experts.
- Show interest in AI and digital innovation, with the ability to provide constructive feedback in a collaborative environment.
- Be highly motivated, with flexibility to work on a contract or casual basis.
- Hold relevant qualifications, such as admission to practice law in Australia.
