Apprentice Printer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Printing Apprentice. This hands-on apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn the skills and techniques used in modern print production, including Lithographic, offset, and large format printing. You'll gain practical experience operating printing machinery, maintaining equipment, preparing print materials, and ensuring high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with the setup and operation of printing machines

· Prepare printing plates, paper stock, and inks as required for each job

· Learn to interpret job tickets, artwork, and production instructions

· Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment

· Monitor print quality and adjust under supervision

· Support post-printing processes such as trimming, folding, and packaging

· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

· Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures

· Attend related training sessions and complete coursework as required by the apprenticeship program

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

· Strong attention to detail and quality

· Good communication and teamwork skills

· Interest in print technology and production

· Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

· Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

· Basic math and computer skills

· Physically able to stand for long periods and lift materials (up to 25kg)
