Job Purpose
The Bus & Coach Cleaner will ensure that all company vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. The role is essential to the overall operations of Brighton Coach, contributing to passenger comfort and safety. The cleaner will work with the operations team to meet tight schedules and ensure all buses and coaches are ready for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Cleaning: Perform cleaning duties on buses and coaches, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces. Ensure all areas are sanitized, particularly high-touch points (e.g., seats, handrails, windows, and driver's cabin).
- Exterior Cleaning: Wash the exterior of buses and coaches, including windows, tires, and bodywork, ensuring the fleet maintains a professional appearance.
- Waste Disposal: Remove all rubbish and waste from vehicles, ensuring proper disposal and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Restocking Supplies: Restock vehicles with essential supplies, such as hand sanitizers, tissue paper, and other items as required.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and company policies, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, tasks completed, and any additional work needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience is preferred, particularly in vehicle or industrial cleaning.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to thoroughly clean and maintain large vehicles, with attention to detail.
- Time Management: Capable of working within tight deadlines to ensure vehicles are ready for service.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift equipment, bend, and be on foot for extended periods.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as part of the operations team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Work Environment
This role is based at Brighton Coach's depot in Turrella NSW. Cleaning tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role may involve early morning, evening, or weekend shifts based on vehicle availability.
