Partnerships Officer – NDIS Specialist (Cairns)
Are you passionate about building inclusive communities and helping people access the right supports through the NDIS? Enabling Pathways is seeking a dedicated Partnerships Officer – NDIS Specialist to join our Cairns team and strengthen community capacity through education, collaboration, and empowerment.
About the Role
As the Partnerships Officer – NDIS Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting Enabling Pathways' mission to Empower Through Education. You'll provide specialist advice, design and deliver NDIS-focused training, and work closely with community partners to enhance understanding, inclusion, and access for people with disabilities.
This is a dynamic position combining education, advocacy, and relationship-building. You'll collaborate with local organisations, schools, disability networks, and families to strengthen referral pathways, identify service gaps, and create innovative community programs that promote independence and participation.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging education and training programs that improve NDIS literacy and capacity for individuals, families, and service providers.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on NDIS processes, eligibility, and supports.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local organisations, schools, and disability networks.
- Support complex case consultations and assist with NDIS plan navigation.
- Develop service mapping resources to identify and close community gaps.
- Represent Enabling Pathways at community events and forums.
- Contribute strategic insights to management and support ongoing program improvement.
What You'll Bring
- Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work, Education, Allied Health, or similar—or equivalent experience.
- In-depth understanding of the NDIS framework, policies, and community impact.
- Experience in community engagement, training delivery, or partnership development.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability.
