Network Automation Developer

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced
Network Automation Developer
to join our dynamic delivery team driving digital network transformation initiatives. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency, minimize manual intervention, and streamline service delivery across large-scale IP and transport environments.

You will work in a fast-paced
Agile
environment, collaborating with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and engineering teams to deliver innovative automation use cases such as
Service Discovery
,
PW Rotation
, and
IP Address Management
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and workflows for network infrastructure and service provisioning.
  • Develop and maintain Python- and Ansible-based automation solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Integrate automation tools with existing systems and APIs (REST, SOAP).
  • Support SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities; troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex network environments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases and wikis as per SDLC processes.
  • Provide operational handover and training support to technical teams when required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity, privacy, and workplace safety policies.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in
    network automation development
    or
    network scripting
    .
  • Strong proficiency in
    Python
    ,
    Ansible
    , and
    YAML/JSON
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    IP networks
    ,
    MPLS
    , and
    Transport technologies
    .
  • Experience with
    Git
    (Bitbucket/GitHub) and
    CI/CD pipelines
    (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with
    API development/integration
    and data parsing.
  • Experience working within
    Agile delivery frameworks
    (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Exposure to
    SIT/UAT testing
    and
    production deployment
    processes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Desirable:

  • Background in
    telecommunications

  • Experience with
