About the Company

Quinton Anthony is working with a leading national construction company who deliver high quality projects across the industrial and commercial sectors. With an experienced collaborative team and strong pipeline of projects they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join the team.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business as a key part of the team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing tender documentation to develop cost plans

  • Preparing take-offs, BOQs and tender estimates

  • Engaging with subcontractors to ensure strong market coverage for tender packages

  • Reviewing and analysing quotes against budgets

  • Engaging with the bid team to ensure tenders are accurate

  • Reviewing plans, specifications and schedules to ensure budgets are achievable

  • Formulate subcontractor invitation lists and prepare tender conditions, ensuring complete trade comparisons

  • Complete Project Preliminaries including review of programme and required resources from CM

Construction Stage

  • Attend design meetings and ensure contract documents align

  • Complete Contract Check on Working Documentation once it has reached 80% completion to confirm scope changes

  • Assist project managers in negotiating variations.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience as an Estimator, with a track record of successful tenders on industrial or commercial projects

  • Existing network of relevant subcontractors

  • Experience of using estimating software such as Buildsoft

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Estimating, Construction or equivalent

  • Working with estimating software such as Buildsoft, Bluebeam, Mudshark for Earthworks

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word, proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Teams

  • Strong communication skills
