Safety, Risk and Compliance Coordinator

About the position:

The Safety, Risk and Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for the ongoing implementation, review, continuous improvement and coordination of the School's Work, Health and safety and Workers Compensation frameworks, systems, policies and procedures.

This role is also responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvements of supporting tools, processes and procedures to ensure that the School's risks are proactively managed and the School's compliance obligations (regulatory, legal and operational) are met.

The primary objective of risk management at the School is to prevent or minimise the occurrence of:

• Injury or harm to students, staff, contractors or visitors;
• Damage to the reputation of the School;
• Significant financial loss;
• Interruption to activity;
• Damage to the environment or to the heritage of the School.

The Safety, Risk and Compliance Coordinator will work across the Whole School from ELC to year 12 as well as related School and Community groups.

As the successful applicant you will have:

• 2 years' experience with Work Health and Safety, Risk Management and Compliance.
• Current certification in Return to Work Coordination.
• Demonstrated knowledge of WHS, emergency management and workers compensation and legislation, frameworks and government policies and practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk management practices, compliance oversight and reporting.
• A South Australian Working with Children Check
