About the role

Mulwaree High School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Canteen Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our school canteen. As a casual role, this position offers flexible work arrangements and the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our students and school community. The role is based in Goulburn, NSW.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the canteen's daily operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and customer service
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a high standard of hygiene in the canteen
  • Plan and prepare nutritious and appealing menu items that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our students
  • Supervise staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Manage the canteen's financial records, including cash handling, banking, and reporting

What we're looking for

  • Relevant experience in the management of a commercial or school-based canteen
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and dietary requirements for school-aged children
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong financial management skills, including cash handling and reporting
  • Certifications in Food Safety Supervision and/or Responsible Service of Alcohol are highly desirable
