Expressions of interest are currently being sought for experienced casual cleaners to work in a shopping centre in Palmerston, Oasis Shopping Village.

To be successful in your application, you will need to possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven, previous experience in a busy, commercial environment such as a shopping centre, hospital, school, hotel etc.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to think on your feet and work at a fast pace
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work in Australia, unrestricted
  • Flexibility around working hours and shifts. This is a casual job and shifts will change between day, afternoon and night.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised

Your main responsibilities may include, but won't be limited to:

  • Mopping and sweeping of large floor areas both internal and external
  • Cleaning of public toilets and showers
  • Keeping a close eye out for slip and trip hazards and attending to these with urgency
  • Reporting of any maintenance issues as they arise
  • Working both inside and outside emptying bins and removing visible litter and tree waste from garden beds
  • Cleaning of glass windows, doors, and shop fronts
  • All other jobs as requested by management

As this is a casual position, we will only look at candidates who have the flexibility to work across all of our different shifts. You can expect to receive a minimum of 16 hours work per week but that may increase in line with the needs of the business. eg to cover personal or annual leave. You must be available to work on weekends when and if required. The shifts you will be working on a regular basis would be 10am - 2pm Monday - Friday, but these may change with the needs of the business, or at short notice if someone is sick.
