The Project Manager role involves managing all aspects of the project for the entire high voltage electrical construction installation start to finish, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Identifying and managing project risks.
  • Improves processes and the overall approach where necessary or finds essential solutions for design and construct to ensure the project continuously moves forward within budget.
  • Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Lead by example whilst supporting and mentoring staff.

Qualifications & experience

Coupled with your previous Construction project management experience preferably in the electrical/mining industry, the ideal candidate will hold the following:

  • Positive attitude and proactive work ethic essential
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical and construction drawings
  • A strong understanding and working knowledge of all the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, Australian Electrical Standards, OH&S, Environmental Management and Quality Systems.
  • Review contract and scope of works to develop methodology and resourcing requirements to meet or exceed contracted requirements.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are delivered at specified times to conform to work schedule and contract requirements.
  • Liaise with direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases to prevent delays.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to contract specifications and the construction schedule is adhered too.
  • Providing support to the Supervisors and other critical staff as required.
  • Trade background (desirable)
  • Minimum of 3- 4 years' experience as a Project Manager preferably with experience in the construction/Electrical/mining sector.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in our dynamic work environment.
  • Must be able to read electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical construction for mining industry
  • Highly organised and a strong communicator.
  • Excellent communication with clients, contractors and fellow employees.
  • Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate work methods.
  • Assess situations and problem solve to find best outcomes for all parties.
  • Ability to observe proper safety precautions.
  • Strong focus on safety and meeting safety expectations
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently to high quality standards.
  • Results driven. Demonstrated experience in achieving results and objectives.
  • Sound computer literacy skills
