Working as an Educator at Jabiru, you will:

  • Support the team to develop age-appropriate, fun and engaging activities for children in the OSHC program
  • Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times
  • Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and children
  • Maintain a clean and organised environment for the OSHC program
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed

About you  

Along with experience as a Program Educator, we're looking for someone who is passionate about their work. Your positive attitude and experience will allow you to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment that is fun, safe and nurturing for children. You will also have:

  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with children
  • Knowledge of child development principles

You will have the following qualifications or be studying toward:  

  • Completed Cert or Diploma in School Aged Education and Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, Teacher Aide, Youth Work, Community Services, Disability Support, Human Services and/or Education Support
  • 1-year full-time equivalent in studying any of the following qualifications: Primary, Secondary or Special Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Speech Pathology, Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Drama, Music, Sport and Recreation  
  • Current Blue Card, First Aid & CPR or willing to obtain   
  • Previous experience working with diverse communities is an asset
