A Federal Government organisation is looking to recruit a Senior Network Security Engineer for a permanent opportunity commencing ASAP, to be based in Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne. Your new role

Within this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, building and maintaining network security infrastructure.
  • Developing and maintaining network documentation.
  • Undertaking research and development duties.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Network & Telecommunications Platform team.
  • Troubleshooting network issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Participating in project planning and implementation for network security upgrades and migrations.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in the deployment and support of network security infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Network Security Gateway infrastructure and architecture (NGFW, BGP, Traffic Engineering & Load Balance, Web Proxy, Reverse Proxy, WAF, IPS/IDS, VPN, Remote Access).
  • Proven experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, F5 and Infoblox.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure networking / security is advantageous.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • A tertiary education in Information Technology as well as Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, F5, Infoblox, CISSP, ISSEP, AWS and Azure certifications are highly desirable.
  • NV1 security clearance or Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain NV1 security clearance is mandatory.
