The Team:

As a Food Service assistant, you will assist in the delivery of patient meals, this is a multidisciplinary role, and you may be required to assist in the staff and visitor's cafeteria. In this role you will be provided on the job training and develop an understanding of dietary and IDDSI requirements.

The Role:

Food Preparation - making sandwiches and wraps, prepping food and making salads.

Meal Serving - Delivering meals to patient's bedsides and in the staff/visitor cafeteria.

Hygiene and Cleanliness - Dishwashing and contributing to maintaining a sanitary and organised kitchen following food safety and hygiene standards.

Details of appointments:

Position 501940L15 - Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 55 hours per fortnight. to commence 30 June 2025.

Position 501940L08 - Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 40 hours per fortnight. to commence 30 June 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum, Pro rata. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Agreement (Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022).

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
