About The Role.
As our Client Development Engineer, you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with clients by deeply understanding their challenges and uncovering unmet needs
  • Translate technical and commercial insights into clear scopes of work that enable successful project delivery
  • Lead early-stage engagement and technical discussions to shape opportunities that support Berg's regional growth
  • Use your engineering know-how to create innovative solutions that add real value for our Clients
  • Contribute to estimating and pipeline development, ensuring seamless transition from client intent to execution

This role blends engineering expertise with commercial acumen, giving you the opportunity to work across industries, connect with decision-makers, and directly influence Berg's future direction.

Requirements
What We're Looking For :
We want someone who is as curious, proactive, agile and innovative as we are.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • A trade or technical qualification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (preferred)
  • Proven experience in technical client-facing roles, ideally in heavy industry
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, scopes, and customer requirements
  • Commercial awareness with a knack for shaping value-based outcomes
  • The confidence to work independently in the field while collaborating closely with the wider Berg team

Estimating experience is desirable, but what matters most is your ability to engage, influence, and bring clarity to complex client needs.
