About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our talented team at PanelTech Systems' in Laverton North, Victoria. As our Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and effective production operations of our manufacturing facility. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Laverton North.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and business objectives
  • Overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring all production processes are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
  • Leading and motivating a team of production personnel, providing direction, training and performance management
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Monitoring production metrics and KPIs, and reporting on performance to senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with other departments, such as sales, procurement and quality control

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries
  • Strong technical understanding of production processes and manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and organisational skills
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating production teams to achieve targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in the use of production management software and data analysis tools
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline are highly desirable
