About the role

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting the optometrists in delivering high-quality eye care to the local community. Candidates must hold a valid work visa or have appropriate work rights to be employed in Australia.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them select the right frames and lenses to meet their needs
  2. Booking and managing customer appointments, ensuring a smooth flow of patients throughout the day
  3. Maintaining a clean and organised store environment, ensuring all displays and product stock are well-presented
  4. Assisting the optometrists with pre-testing and preparation of patients for eye examinations
  5. Handling cash, card, and other payment transactions in a professional manner
  6. Applicants must be 18 years or older to handle financial transactions and work in this retail environment
  7. Contributing to the overall success of the store by actively participating in team meetings and training sessions

What we're looking for

  1. Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide a warm, friendly, and helpful experience for all customers
  2. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
  4. A passion for the retail and consumer products industry, with a keen interest in eye care and fashion
  5. A positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented attitude
  6. Relevant experience in a customer service or retail role is preferred, but not essential
