About The Role
Our client is a team of ambitious entrepreneurs committed to delivering high-quality estimating services across the Construction, Commercial, and Industrial sectors, including Education, Aged Care, Retirement Living, and Government projects. With a strong emphasis on precision and reliability, they provide accurate cost projections that help clients achieve cost-effective and efficient project outcomes.
They are now seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join their team. This full-time, remote role will focus on preparing accurate take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates, while also subcontractor liaising, supporting tender submissions and collaborating closely with project managers to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive BOQs to support estimation and tender submissions.
- Review and interpret engineering documents, specifications, and plans.
- Conduct markups and highlight key specifications.
- Manage tenders and scope reviews using EstimateOne.
- Undertake subcontractor analysis and comparisons.
- Collaborate with the management team to review and finalise estimates.
- Assist with additional estimating tasks as required.
- Ensure all estimates adhere to Australian construction practices and standards.
- Work independently with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the Australian industrial construction sector (non-residential).
- At least 5 years of experience as a BOQ Surveyor or Estimator.
- Proficiency in CostX and EstimateOne software.
- Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).
