DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field Service Mechanic to join our Power Generation Team in Laverton . If you are a Heavy Diesel Field Service Technician OR a dual trade technician (Mechanical & electrical) looking to power up your career in heavy industrial equipment, we have the opportunity for you Working in a dedicated team of multi-disciplined technicians in our power generation team, you will be based out of our Laverton branch servicing our power gen customers.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Be first on the field for customers for breakdowns repairs, new equipment commissioning, scheduled service works on Power Generation products, Rail, Industrial/Automotive applications
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics and maintenance of engines up 78 Litre Diesel and Gas engines
  • Completing all work with a high focus on safety
  • Participate in an After Hours on call roster

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Relevant trades qualification; Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Previous field service experience
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with clients
  • Strong PC skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • A current, valid driver's license
  • Previous experience in Power Generation products highly regarded but not essential

QUALIFICATIONS

Power Generation Mechanics experienced in Engines, Complex Fuel transfer systems, Oil Make up system and other balance of plant i.e. remote cooling systems diagnostics and repairs

Commissioning of new equipment- Checking generator installation, Fuel System, Exhaust system, Cooling etc.
