Yard Supervisor

The Opportunity

A well-established heavy lift and crane services provider is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor / Leading Hand to oversee daily yard operations and coordinate crane and rigging crews.

This is a hands-on leadership role working within a high-performing operational environment supporting major construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects.

• $76.55 per hour + Penalties + Allowances
• Permanent Full-Time | EBA Covered

Key Duties

• Supervise crane and heavy lifting yard operations
• Plan and allocate daily labour, plant, and equipment
• Lead crane operators, riggers, and dogmen
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure site compliance
• Manage permits and safety documentation
• Liaise with clients, supervisors, and internal teams
• Maintain safe and efficient operational workflow
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 10 years' experience in crane operations, rigging, or heavy equipment environments
• Proven experience as a Yard Supervisor, Crane Supervisor, or Leading Hand
• Strong leadership and team management experience
• Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and lifting operations
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Competent computer skills (MS Office)

Tickets & Licences (Highly Regarded)

• High Risk Work Licences such as:
• Tower Crane (CT)
• Rigging (RI)
• Dogging (DG)
• Forklift (LF)
• Mobile Crane (CN / C1 / C6)
• EWP (Over 11m)
• HR Driver's Licence
• White Card
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• First Aid
• MSIC (Advantageous)
