Part Time Diploma Educator required (2 days per week)

Pennant Hills War Memorial Children's Centre (PHWMCC), a not for profit, community-based preschool, is seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma Educator to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis. As a Diploma Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to the children in our preschool, located in Pennant Hills, NSW. PHWMCC has been proudly providing preschool education for children in Pennant Hills for the last 75 years.

PHWMCC has a 2 day per week Diploma position available commencing in Term 1, 2026. The hours are from 8am-4pm each day. In addition, staff are required to attend two staff meetings per term after hours, as well as staff development days throughout the year.

An ECT is the room leader in each classroom of 20 children, with a Diploma and Cert III educator forming the class team. Children attend during school terms.

CRITERIA

  • Diploma of Children Services (or equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid qualifications
  • Current Child Protection training
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in providing high quality care and education for 3–5-year-old children and working with children with additional needs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the EYLF V2.0 and highly developed skills in documenting children's learning

  • communicating (both written and verbal),
  • prioritising inclusive and respectful practices,
  • time management,
  • computer skills and technology, and
  • having a strong commitment to your own professional learning.
